I received a BTech. (Ed.) in Materials and Engineering Technology from the University of Limerick, Ireland, in 2017. I then completed my PhD in Engineering Education at the Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest, Ireland, in 2022. Upon completion of my PhD studies I pursued postdoctoral research at both Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest and University of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, where I examined the relationship between spatial skills and cognitive load during design problem solving for undergraduate engineering students.
I am an Assistant Lecturer in Technology Education at Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest and co-ordinate a STEM outreach initiative which focuses on the delivery of integrated STEM education experiences. I am a primary PhD supervisor of two research projects focusing on integrated STEM experiences and pedagogies.
Currently serving as a member of the organising committee for the 2024 Graphic Medicine Conference (Chairperson of Midlands Cultural and Social Committee and member of the Education & Technology Committee). I am a member of the Technology Education Research Group (TERG) in Ireland, the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), the Engineering Technology Teachers' Association (ETTA) in Ireland, and Teaching Council of Ireland.
